Beautiful hand-decorated Scalloped Shell, decoupaged in a beautiful Flower design.

As a natural product, each shell has varying degrees of natural imperfections from the rough and tumble of the sea bed which adds to their charm and appeal. Some areas, particularly on the reverse, have dark marks which are the colour taken on from the sand and mud the scallop makes its home in.

Because they are natural, no two shells are the same and each decoupage design differs slightly from shell to shell.

Each beautiful scallop shell is thoroughly cleaned before a print is placed using the decoupage technique. Some designs are then highlighted with a gold liquid leaf detail to the edges, and others look better without. Each receives a minimum of three layers of sealer and a protective lacquer finish.

To clean – can be wiped with a damp cloth but please avoid wetting or soaking.
